8 Hour Shift
The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the processing of a high volume of invoices for multiple locations. This role is hands-on, and includes both performing daily tasks and supervising department activity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accomplish and oversee the processing of a high volume of invoices for multiple locations.
Manage weekly check runs.
Communicate with vendors and management.
Assist with streamlining A/P processes.
Participate in system conversion projects from manual to electronic payment system.
Ensure compliance with company and accounting policies and procedures.
Meet financial reporting deadlines.
Maintain accounting records and files.
Respond to requests from auditors and produce information in a timely manner.
Supervise a team of three Accounts Payables Specialists, including directing daily work, troubleshooting issues, evaluating performance, and training.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of related accounting / accounts payable experience, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience; multi-site experience preferred; experience in the healthcare industry a plus.
Excellent organization skills, detail-oriented, and strong analytical and problem solving ability.
Good verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
Strong customer-service focus.
Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and be flexible in responding to changing business needs.
Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of Excel; experience converting to an electronic payment system a plus.
